June 1 is International Children's Day.

June 1 is International Children's Day. The history of this date dates back to 1925. That same year, the first international conference on child welfare was held in Geneva, with the participation of various countries. The participating countries of the conference agreed to choose a special date - Children's Day. However, no specific date is suggested; everyone is asked to choose a date that suits their culture.

In 1949, it was decided to celebrate June 1 as "International Children's Day" in Soviet countries since 1950, and this day began to be celebrated.

In addition, November 20 is International Children's Day, established by the UN. In some countries, children's week is celebrated instead of Children's Day.
